Welcome to Skip Hire Pimlico. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our skip hire services. By hiring a skip from us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:

- Customer refers to the individual or entity entering into a contract with the Company for skip hire services.
- Services refer to the delivery, maintenance, and collection of skips as described in these Terms.
2. Scope of Services
Skip Hire Pimlico provides skip hire services for both residential and commercial purposes within the Pimlico area. Our services include:
- Delivery of the appropriate skip size based on the customer's requirements.
- Regular collection and maintenance of skips as per the agreed schedule.
- Safe disposal of collected waste in compliance with local regulations.
2.1 Types of Skips
We offer a variety of skip sizes to cater to different waste disposal needs:
- Mini Skips: Suitable for small-scale domestic projects.
- Midi Skips: Ideal for medium-sized clean-outs and renovations.
- Builders Skips: Designed for large construction and demolition waste.
- Roll-On Roll-Off Skips: For extensive commercial waste disposal needs.
3. Booking and Confirmation
To hire a skip from Skip Hire Pimlico, customers must complete our booking process either online or via telephone. Upon successful booking, customers will receive a confirmation detailing:
- Skip size and type.
- Delivery date and time.
- Rental duration.
- Cost and payment details.
3.1 Booking Modifications
Customers may request to modify their booking details, including skip size or hire date, subject to availability. Such changes may incur additional charges.
4. Rental Period
The standard rental period is 7 days from the date of delivery. Extensions can be requested, provided the skip is available and additional fees may apply.
4.1 Early Collection
If customers wish to collect the skip before the end of the rental period, they must inform Skip Hire Pimlico in advance. Early collection may be subject to shorter hire charges.
5. Payment Terms
Full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards and bank transfers. All prices are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
5.1 Deposit
In certain cases, a refundable deposit may be required. The deposit amount will be specified during the booking process and will be returned upon safe and timely return of the skip.
6. Permitted and Prohibited Waste
Customers must ensure that only permitted waste is disposed of in the hired skip. Permitted waste includes:
- Household furniture and appliances.
- Garden waste.
- Building and construction materials.
- General household waste.
6.1 Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited and must not be included in the skip:
- Hazardous materials, including chemicals and flammable substances.
- Asbestos-containing materials.
- Electrical appliances with refrigerant gases.
- Battery-operated electronics.
- Medical waste.
7. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information during the booking process.
- Ensuring the skip is placed in a safe and accessible location.
- Complying with all local regulations regarding waste disposal.
- Securing their property against unauthorized access during the hire period.
7.1 Site Requirements
The installation area must be capable of handling the skip's weight and size. Customers must clear the area of any obstacles that might impede delivery or collection. Failure to comply may result in additional charges or cancellation of the service.
8. Liability
Skip Hire Pimlico is not liable for any loss or damage to property unless caused by our direct negligence. Customers are advised to have suitable insurance to cover potential damages or losses during the rental period.
8.1 Damage to Property
If any damage occurs to the customer's property during skip placement or collection, Skip Hire Pimlico will rectify the damage or compensate the customer in accordance with applicable laws.
9. Insurance
While we take all reasonable measures to ensure the safe delivery and collection of skips, customers are encouraged to have appropriate insurance coverage for their property and contents.
9.1 Insurance Claims
In the event of damage or loss, customers must notify Skip Hire Pimlico immediately. All claims must be submitted in writing with supporting evidence.
10. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Customers may cancel or reschedule their skip hire reservation provided they do so at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery time. Cancellations made within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee.
10.1 No-Show Policy
If the customer is not available to collect the skip at the scheduled time, and no prior notice is given, this will be considered a no-show. The customer may be charged for the skip hire period regardless of collection.
11. Extensions and Overdue Returns
If customers require the skip beyond the agreed rental period, they must inform Skip Hire Pimlico as soon as possible. Extensions are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
11.1 Overdue Returns
Failure to return the skip by the end of the rental period may result in extra fees based on the number of overdue days. Continued overdue returns may lead to termination of services and involvement of collections agencies.
12. Compliance with Laws
All skip hire activities must comply with local laws and regulations. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their use of skip services adheres to environmental and safety standards.
12.1 Environmental Responsibility
Skip Hire Pimlico is committed to environmentally responsible waste disposal. We ensure that all collected waste is processed in accordance with environmental protection standards and regulations.
13. Data Protection
We value your privacy and handle your personal data in compliance with relevant data protection laws. Customer information is used solely for the purpose of providing skip hire services and managing bookings.
13.1 Data Security
Appropriate measures are in place to safeguard your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
14. Changes to Terms and Conditions
Skip Hire Pimlico reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Customers are advised to review the Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.

Upon termination, the customer must immediately return the skip in its current condition. Failure to do so may result in additional fees or legal action.
17. Force Majeure
Skip Hire Pimlico is not liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, wars, or governmental restrictions.
17.1 Notification of Force Majeure Events
In the event of a force majeure situation, Skip Hire Pimlico will notify the customer as soon as possible and work towards a mutually agreeable solution.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
18.1 Interpretation
Headings used in these Terms are for convenience only and do not affect their interpretation.
19. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the customer and Skip Hire Pimlico regarding skip hire services and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
19.1 No Waiver
Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provisions.
